Ending the Summer 5% Challenge

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Well we are almost to the finish line. This is my 4th consecutive 5% challenge and I think I am done for a while. The camaraderie has been great, but I'm not really losing any weight. Having to track and report all of my exercise is a good motivator but it doesn't seem to be enough to pull those pounds off. I'm going to take a break. I'm not signing up for the next challenge. I have other things that need my time, and I'm going to pull back and focus on those things.

So thank you to all my teammates! Good luck with your future challenges. I hope you will continue to be my Sparkfriends. I'm sure many of you will.

I will post my final weigh-in tomorrow and then I think that's it. Week 8 is done. I know folks have until Saturday at midnight to get that final weigh-in done but I plan to get it out of the way nice and early tomorrow.

Best of luck and thank you team leaders, motivators, and all my friends!

I'll miss you on the Starfishies! I'd rather hoped you would have found us "home" when you came, but I understand. I hope your break is really just a break and that you will be back on the 5% Challenges soon!

I've really enjoyed getting to know you on this challenge and will definitely continue as your Sparkfriend. We have such similar goals -- and struggles -- and it's always reassuring to have a friend like that on this journey.
