8/15/12 - Day in Review

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Today I started fixing the exercise bike we got at a garage sale. I am going to have to find a new pair of pliers or a socket set to fix the seat properly, then I am going to have to slowly working my way up to 30 minutes. It will be extremely helpful in the winter.

I also only walked a short distance today. I haven't been feeling well today and ended up sleeping most of the day.

Today I also stopped at walgreens and picked up some water pills. I have been retaining water so badly for the past month or so that my feet and legs are so tight that they literally HURT from being so tight and I feel like I could just cut my leg open and squeeze out the water (yes, I know logically there is no way that would help). I would LOVE to take it tonight but I will wait until tomorrow morning. I would love to actually sleep tonight instead of in the bathroom all night LOL.

Well, I am getting really tired so I am going to feed the cats, clean out the litter boxes (love the new litter genie - http://www.littergenie.com/), take my meds, and get ready for bed. I am probably do some more stretching before getting in bed because it really helps me relax enough to sleep.

Get idea to get an exercise bike, especially for the winter months. I agree with Angie about checking with your doctor regarding such severe water retention. You certainly don't want to make anything worse or lower your potassium levels.

I hope you sleep well and wake up refresh and ready to take on a new day, I also hope you are feeling better in the morning.

Debbie good for you for getting a bike, and double good for having the know how on how to fix it. Just one word of caution, before you buy over the counter water pills, you should probably check with your doctor to see why you are retaining so much water. There may be an underlying factor here, and your doctor would be the one who can diagnose the problem and give you the proper pill to help you expel the excess water without depleting your potassium levels.

Thanks for sharing your blog, I really enjoyed it.
