High Intensity Interval Training HIIT!!!

So I went to a new class called HIIT and it's a bit of a challenge. I needed to start adding strength training into my lifestyle and may I say this was above and beyond insane to me. The class started out with a good 15-20 people. Before we even got into the real workouts people were just giving up and leaving left and right. During our quick break one girl says out loud " after today I'm not coming back" it made me wonder wow do people really just not want to try something new. I mean before this class began there was a strength class that was around for a long time so it was time for an upgrade I just couldn't believe how many people left during the class by the end of class there were less than 10 people including myself. It made me look back and wonder how many times I have up or I didn't push myself when I tried something new. I never walked out during a class but I was consistent at being inconsistent. During the 1 minute burpees I had to keep telling myself to push it don't give up. The people that walked away they just showed me who I was at a moment in my life where I was afraid to try something new and didn't try to see what i was capable of. I'm proud for going through and I'm glad I was able to try something new. I hope this will help me push through my plateaus and really tone my love handles. just about 13 more pounds to go till my next goal weight and I hope I get there a lot quicker than the horrid 180s

    I have always wanted to try HIIT, but my aged knees just can't handle burpees and squats. Any ideas on other things I could do instead of those?
