Ah, Wednesday. It seems to be the day where I have a little extra time and can squeeze a blog in, so I think I'll make it my official blog day.
The past few days I've been pretty good. I am sticking to my 5AM gym routine, but I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off. Tomorrow I have training for work and have to wake up early to drive two hours away, so I just don't think I'd be able to squeeze any gym time in. And I know I'll be WAY too defeated after the training to go, so I'm just going to give myself that day off. As for Friday, well, I am taking that day off too lol.
I'm giving myself those days off because I'll be pushing myself extra next week. I'm on vacation from work!!! It's more of a "stay"-cation however, because I'm not actually going anywhere. I'm taking another week in October and planning to go away then, but I usually take a week in August just for myself. I'm going to up my gym time since I don't have to be at work and I'm pretty excited about it. I'll be doing little things here and there but I plan on being outside and as active as possible. I already know I want to take a trip to the State Park and do a hike, so that will be one day. Plenty to do locally that I normally don't get a chance to do because I work 7:45-4:15.
In other news, Maxwell (my new pup) is adjusting to my lifestyle and the house, and seems to be doing quite well. He's getting into a routine and I think it works for us. I get home and we go outside and play fetch for.. well, quite awhile lol. Until he tires out which takes a looooong time! I do need to get him a longer tie though, because he wants to run far, and I can't let him off the tie because I don't have a fenced in yard.... and I don't quite trust him off leash yet.
Hmm.. what else....... Oh, I am thinking of planting a few "fall" vegetables in my garden. I've ripped up a lot of the veggies I've already harvested like the broccoli, the cabbage, the beans, and I have empty space, so I might plant a few more cooler climate veggies like more cabbage, cauliflower, etc. I've never done any fall veggies before, but I'm willing to give it a try. :)
That's all for now! Until next week,
