Simple, but good stuff...

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

So I'm cruising FB this morning, and I come across a link that my doctor posted. Have I ever mentioned my doctor before? My cool, fabulous, wonderful doctor? Well, her name is Dr. Suzanne Koven, and not only is she a great doctor, practicing at one of the foremost medical institutions in the world (Mass General Hospital), she is a writer and a master communicator. She has written a book (Say Hello to a Better Body, a Chicken Soup for the Soul book aimed at women in their 50s battling their age and the bulge), is a columnist (In Practice, weekly in the Boston Globe), and regularly posts the most interesting blogs and articles on FB. I have yet to read anything she has written or posted that hasn't made me thankful to no end to have her as a doctor. And she uses social media fabulously to share her knowledge, ideas and her favorite writings by others.

Anyway, as usual, I digress. I was talking about today, and coming across a link to a blog that probably says what we all say everyday here on Spark, so I thought I'd share it, and I have.

Baby steps folks, no matter what different words we use, it always boils down to baby steps.. and off we go!!

Interesting, T. And it's wonderful you've got such a smart doctor too- with the real bonus of 'bedside manner' with her way of reaching out to others!! But... I wouldn't put it pass you to select such a mentor because, like minds, ya' know?!! Thank you for sharing the article. Something YOU'VE been sharing with all of us for years now, btw. EXCEPT for the, cutting our tea up and dumping it down the drain!! emoticon I don't recall you ever telling us to 'do' that!! LOL!! Hope your vaca is sooo SOOTHING & FULFILLING, my friend!!

Like babies, we do have to take baby steps to learn how to move forward on this healthier lifestyle journey.
