We're having a kind of de-railing nutritionally issue right now in that we have lost use of our stove/oven. It's broken and our landlords are fixing it, but it anyway... that led to Subway two nights ago and Vietnamese last night. I think I've eaten pretty good during the day though and minimized the sweets like I was aiming for.
So I'm calling it a kind of half and half win.
I need to do some proper grocery shopping that will prepare for some meals that do not involve the oven or stove top, though... just in case this lasts a little while longer, we really don't want to be eating out so much.
Plus I will need to be more hardlined. Yes we CAN just eat sandwiches at home for dinner tonight (for example).
And we have use of the microwave so it doesn't even have to be all cold food, I just haven't had my kitchen adequately prepared for this challenge, my shopping bought us food that needs to be cooked and not in a microwave. :P
I have volunteered for the triathlon here on Saturday - it's the National Olympic Distance Championships!!!!!! :D So excited! I've never been to a tri before, and I volunteered as an "Athlete Chaperone", the description says to assist the elites after they cross the finish line. Sounds cool. I will have to shift my run schedule around though, cause there's no way I'm fitting in 16 miles Saturday on top of a 8:30-1:45 or whatever it said shift of volunteering. Just awkward timing. But I can run early that morning for less miles, that's doable. So I'll be figuring that out today.
