Cheese With Your Whine, Madam?

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Yes, lots and lots of cheese, thank you.

I got up yesterday and felt like dog dookie. Actually the term getting up doesn't really apply much. I slept horrible and felt terrible and I didn't get up on time. I dragged myself out of bed later and found a freezer burnt frozen breakfast sandwich in the freezer and nuked it for my hubby and went back to bed. Hopefully I removed the paper towel and he didn't eat it. LOL. I tried getting up again later on as I had stuff to do and it didn't go well either. I tried to fix my son and me some breakfast and managed to drop it in the floor and shatter a plate into smithereens. The pieces went for 2 miles and I was pretty peeved to have to clean up that mess and start over. I was a wretched hag, hunched over, cross-eyed, grumbling, foaming at the mouth, complete with 4 letter expletives. I ran out of bad words I knew and made some up.

Later on I was going to use my new stainless steel grill and noticed that a varmint was under it. I didn't recognize what it was so I called my son and he didn't either. It was a baby rodent of some kind and was grayish brown with a black tail. Not a raccoon, possum, mink.

The appliance shop called and they couldn't fix our air conditioner which is under warranty. I was cranky and irrational and fed up and I called my husband at work and told him I did not want to fight some animal for my new grill. He knows how to deal with me when I'm like this and he becomes Sir Lancelot. He will fight the rabid animal tooth and nail - not the grill varmint, I mean the appliance repairman. LOL. He had my son take pictures of the grill animal. It was kind of cute really. Hubby and my son finally decided it was a baby ground hog but it wasn't brown and fat like most of the ones I've seen. I don't mind it hanging around but I still don't want to share my new grill with it.

The bottom line is MRSA is kicking my butt right now. I have a temp. I have aches, pains, fatigue, lethargy. My new lesion is not as bad as the last one which on a scale of 1-10 was a 10. The new one is a 4 so far. Enough already.

So yesterday was a wash so to speak. I fed the wildlife and spent most of the day in bed. Lots of turtles came. I did finally managed to get 3 loads of laundry done with my son's help as he was off work. I slung a supper together. I went back to bed.

Today I felt a tiny bit better. My son was off again and we had to go to a town about 25 miles away and pick up the air conditioner. The business who does Lowes repairs in my area is a dump. Right now I am not allowed to do any lifting and the lazy heifer that works there offered no help so my son had to carry the air conditioner to the truck by himself. They were supposed to have it put back together but didn't even bother to do that. They handed me a pile of screws - no bag to put them in. She was lucky I was sick because normally I would have ripped her friggin head off. Gutted her like a catfish. My husband was peeved when he got home and found out how we were treated. He will be lodging a complaint to Lowes, Frigidaire, and the Better Business Bureau.

I spent a lot of the rest of the day in bed again but managed to fix a nice supper. Too much comfort food but I needed it right. A few hundred pancakes and a quart of syrup right now makes me feel better. Smack, smack, smack.

So sorry you are battling MRSA so hard this year. Must be the stress that is weakening your immune sys that is allowing the MRSA to flourish. No one else (DH, DS) gets it? Guess they are immune or very very lucky.

Your baby animal sounds so cute. So glad all the turtles came out with get well visits on your sick day yesterday. Animals know!

I so hate bad customer service. Makes you wonder WHY / how these people stay in business. If you're a member of Angie's list, also report them there. Glad at least you had Ian's help, grrrr.

You only needed a few hundred pancakes? That would have thrown me for at least 1000 and a gallon of syrup.

Good blog! - Bad day:( but it puts things in perspective for me...I've been feeling shotty because I am getting overwhelmed with everything I have to do. But it can be accomplished little by little because other than feeling tired and being swollen I am capable. Little bits at a time...take care of your body and mind first, and I'm sending prayers your way:)

As far as the critter, maybe you've got voles. A vole is a small type of rodent.

Hope you get your a/c repaired quickly too ! things will get better, but you do have an upbeat attitude !

Great blog! Wish I could be this funny when I'm in the dumps and feeling rotton! Some of us are here just to keep the rest of us laughing, which is good exercise. Thank you.

Ok - I really am sorry to hear you are not feeling your best and I really do hope you are feeling better soon. I am so glad your DH can handle everything right now and your son seems a dream to be helping you, too.

I hope you have a better day today! emoticon

My poor Morticia, I feel so bad that you are in a lot of pain.
Pancakes eh? Why not? I had a laugh about the critter under
your new grill. emoticon Boy, if I was there with you
I would've let them have it for your treatment with the AC.
You should try and jsut rest up and the men in your life will
manage. Just get yourself better. emoticon emoticon

I too hope you feel better my friend. These crooks are one of the reasons my business is on the way up soon. Even though we are just recently opened we are getting recognized and many folks love my are you completely satisfied? Attitude. People that do business like those do not deserve to be open. I would also check places like Angie's list to lodge a complaint as well. Well again sorry and hope you feel better soon. emoticon

Sorry to hear you are under the weather ( I have had days like where I have felt like that TOO). Sorry to hear about the AC unit . I remember my old employer had one at the (microwave) radio terminal I had to look after that crapped out it was a HUGE window rattler that was 4 by 3 feet by 2 feet thick and must have weighed 400 lbs and the damn thing was 8 feet up the wall and me and this refrigeration mechanic had to take it down by ourselves. Not fun especially in a room full of racks of operating electronics.
