Hi spark peoples! I just wanted to "vent" a little bit about what is going on in my life. My two younger kids came back from their job in Alaska, and my son came back with a little "less" of himself than when he left. Yes, he left a finger tip in Alaska, courtesy of a band saw they were using to cut fish. He still has pain from the little skin graft they put on the finger. It is missing up to the first joint.
And my younger girl came back with whooping cough and that means my other daughter-mother of my two adorable grandchildren-won't let me near their family for a couple of weeks in case I am a carrier! I just miss those little darlings so much. I am having trouble not crying about it on and off.
My poor mother in law was in a car accident and is still hospitalized ten days later. She faces a few weeks (months?) of painful rehabilitation. God bless her!
Anyway, I am trying to be grateful for all the good things I do still have.
Today is the feast day of St. Maximilian Kolbe. What a dear, brave soul! If you don't know about him I would highly recommend doing a little reading on him.
So much to be grateful for. Trying to count my blessings and keep positive.
Happy summer to everyone!
