This has been a rough summer. We had 4 different vacations scheduled. I was worried about how I was going to do. In the past, my mind set was, "Hey, I'm on vacation. I'm not dieting." Then, my favorite gym closed. How was I going to get my strength training in!
We just got home from our last scheduled trip this summer, and I only gained 3 pounds! Usually I can easily plan on gaining 5 pounds per trip. The difference this time: I wasn't dieting! I was eating healthy. Plus, we scheduled active vacations walking, swimming, golfing; not sitting on a bus or in a car sightseeing.
I've been trying to stay active this summer. Unfortunately, I'm having back issues, so my strength training has to be put on hold for a bit longer, but I will get back into it. I plan on getting together with my sister-in-law, who has a home gym in her basement.
All in all, I'd say this was the most successful summer I've had in a long time.
