Gym Fail!

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

More accurately, it was a Me Fail! I can't blame the gym.

I planned on going to Zumba last night and then doing my weights workout.

Didn't happen.

When I got to Zumba, I had just eaten dinner so I was feeling kinda bloated and yucky. Then my favorite Zumba instructor wasn't there to teach. So I left 15 minutes into Zumba. I tried to do weights, but my heart just wasn't into it.

So I left.

I think it's odd that I had such a GREAT workout Sunday followed by a Work Out Fail the next day. I just couldn't get my attitude right.

Today I'm trying again. I'm going to try to adjust my attitude and kick InnerFatGirl's sorry behind! Maybe Yoda has some ideas. I was in such a non-workout mood that I didn't even text him that I was struggling.

I'll figure it out.

I don't think you failed. You went - you put in at least 15 minutes in Zumba, better than 15 minutes on the couch! You WILL do better. Have a great Friday.

Everybody has days like that, wouldn't worry about it too much.

Not a fail! Sometimes it's just about showing up. And considering I nearly threw up my breakfast at one point during Zumba last week, I understand the too full feeling. It's only a fail if you don't get back to it.

Maybe your body was just telling you it needed to rest. You'll get it back I'm sure.

Don't let it get you down. At least you did the 15 minutes of Zumba. Sometimes you just need to take a small break. Just kick that InnerFatGirl's behind tomorrow!

Hey give yourself a pat on the back and cut yourself some slack. You didn't totally ditch. It's okay to have those days every once and a while.

....now if it continues there might be an issue.

Hey, you still got there and sweated a little bit, lapping everyone on the couch as they say!

Also, I was going to go to the gym yesterday evening (after having done my weights in the morning) and just sit on a stationary bike and read or something to get some light cardio in...but the parking lot was PACKED (people sitting in their cars waiting for a space to open up) and I went home telling myself that I would do something there....nope.

So I gym failed yesterday too!

Really, with all the workouts and other exercise you do (WAY more than any normal non-Rockstar human), don't stress too much about missing one. I'm sure you will more than make up for it!!

I've had workouts like that. I wouldn't feel bad about it as long as you keep moving toward you goal and 'not having your heart in it' is a very occasional event! Sometimes I think this is our body's way of telling us we need a rest.

Some days your body/mind just aren't up to it. Don't be too worried. At least you went to the gym and still gave it a shot!
