Family Drama (but not really)

Monday, August 13, 2012

My oldest son, who just turned 21, moved out of the house to NC about a year ago. (Chasing a girl who goes to college down there lol)

They visited with us a few months later (we are in NJ) and the visit didn't go so well. Now, nearly a year later they are visiting again and have been here a few days. I haven't gone to the gym since they were home but have stuck to my new way eating...and so has my family (they don't have a choice lol).

She doesn't like the way we eat...as a matter of fact she doesn't like much of anything we like. I had to 'bite my tongue' a few times. Problem last time was I didn't bite my tongue, I just let took it so far and told her what I thought.

They (my oldest son and his girlfriend) go out an eat elsewhere because that's what 'she' wants. Sad to say, I'm thankful they are leaving tomorrow. Hopefully my son makes another trip home without her. lol

Hopefully he wakes up soon! You did the right thing though he has to learn the hard way sometimes.

Best to find this out now before they say "I Do" (and hopefully they WON'T) !

Such a shame that guests don't respect hosts anymore - what a sad commentary on the state of the world.......

I know what you mean about having to hold your tongue but sometimes it is better that way and sometimes they will see what the person is really like as time goes by.
