The weather has been really nice the last 3 days.
Ever wonder what it's like to be an octogenarian? Both of my grandmas lived to be in their late 80s. One had a lot of medical problems for years prior to her death. The other was only sick for 6 months before she died. My dad is now in his early 80s so when we got home yesterday from spending the day working at my MIL's house and saw that he had called I was alarmed as I worry about him. Dad lives alone on a large lake in a national forest. It's quite a distance to a town on winding, hilly roads. I called him when we got home at 8 last night to find out if he was okay and if he needed anything. Why did he call? He had been invited to a BBQ and while there had ran into a girl I supposedly went to kindergarten with named Norma and wanted me to talk to her on the phone. LOL. Do I know who Norma is? No, but Dad is convinced I should remember her even though it has 55 years since kindergarten. LOL.
On Saturday my son didn't have to work until late so he went to a friend's house for a while before work and my husband and I went to my MIL's house so hubby could mow the lawn and we could price more of her possessions. We then went to a store to get some ideas on more pricing, went to Sam's, and ate at McDonald's on the way home. We got home at 8.
We have caught 2 of the mice in the house and there are less ants and fruit flies. Less pests in one area but I have another MRSA coming on. LOL.
Today was really nice and hubby and I went for 2 nice long walks. It was cloudy and sprinkled a little. We sat down by the pond and I was stung by a yellow jacket. Very painful. He got the old antenna taken down out of a tree. We have tried to get it down or years. He cut down a bunch of weed and trees by the pond that will soon block the Hughes dish.
Strawberry came today and ate a bunch of fruit. She was the only one today.
