Disappointed with myself

I am so disappointed with myself right now. I takes soo sooo very much to lose any weight on me at all. I am stressed and busy right now and have had a hard time keeping up losing weight. I have not had money to get any healthy foods right now and i am trying to do well in eating anyway but very hard. I also have been swimming but, it is not burning very many calories or doing anything that I can see.


I am holding on very hard to keep on going but, feeling so down that my hard efforts are not paying off right now. sigh.

at same current weight 200lbs.

    Search SP on losing weight on a tight budget. You might find it worth your while. Also keep tracking your nutrition, and evaluate your swimming for what you are doing. I went through the same scene, tightened up on my training, and also embraced patience. I found that stress eating cane be resolved by what you eat. Yeah, I might have though that I started looking like a rabbit but I got rid of all the garbage in my home. I also started planning my meals and snacks. I had to be honest with myself and that was the hardest part. The clincher was after I did all these things, reached my goals and got into maintaining, it was easy. I ad developed good habits. Stay strong and focused...all the best.

Keep up the swimming! I say this because that is all I have been allowed to do exercise wise. Also -

1. It is a full body workout.
2. You do actually sweat while swimming, you just do not know you are because you
are in the water.
3. Even treading water is considered good for your heart.
4. If you are having trouble actually swimming, try walking/running in the water - it is
harder than you think.
5. Work up to a goal # of laps. At one time I was swimming 40 laps in the pool
3x/week which amounted to 3kms/week. You have to ask one of the life guards
what the length of the lap lane is. 25m lenghth = 40 laps or 1km; 50m length =
20 laps or 1km.
6. If you do not already know all the strokes, try learning a new one.
7. Finally, swimming or playing in the pool is fun. The bouyancy is good for your
joints and by using paddle boards or other equipment available to you, you can
actually concentrate on specific body parts as well.

Hope this helps you out. I have been enjoying our pool immensely and as a matter of fact, going there is about 20 minutes.
