I have learned SO many things from running, and I think it'll continue for the rest of my life.
Today I hit the wall at just under 4 miles. I realized this happened once before on a "longer" run and both times I didn't fuel enough. Today I learned that fueling includes the previous day, too. This morning I had a banana and half a bagel with some cream cheese, which is my regular fuel for a run over 3 miles. But I still hit the wall. It was because I had a super light dinner last night! Fueling starts long before a run!
There's something that feels really good about running until you can't anymore, though. I felt like I gave it all I had and I didn't force myself to keep going when didn't have any more to give.
Next time I'll make sure to fuel better!
