As August is here, like me, alot of you are getting ready (if you haven't already) to start the new school year.
I ran across this poem and thought it was a keeper. Maybe it will make you laugh a little bit too. Hope you enjoy.
Once in a home not so far away,
The school year began on a sunny, bright day.
The children were sleeping in cool, comfy beds.
While visions of summer danced in their heads.
And I in my bathrobe and tumbleweed hair
Oozed out of bed to try to prepare
For English and science and algebra, too,
Geography, history---to just name a few.
When what to my slumbering eyes should appear
But a reflection of something quite strange in the mirror.
I looked and discovered what could not be hid,
And he's homeschooling my kids!
Here's to a great year!!
P.S. Just a quick note. I read in a Reader's Digest issue that there are 940 Saturdays from the time your child is born til the time they turn 18. - Just a little food for thought.
