First week back on track

So it has been a bit of a challenge getting back into the groove of tracking everything I eat. You do forget just how much calories and fat are in certain foods when your not keeping track of what your eating. I realized that I have been eating way to many eggs again. They are just so high in cholesterol that I must limit myself as to how many I eat each week.
Part of my plan is that I can eat anything I want I just have to watch how much I eat and how often I eat certain foods. By approaching food in this way I never feel deprived. That is a good thing!! LOL It also gives me control over food! Yes I have the control!! That may sound funny but it was a revelation for me. At times in the past I really felt that food had control over me. All I could think of was the yummy food that was sitting in the cubbord until I had eaten it all. Now my approach is lets see how long I can make something last!! LOL
I am so thankful for finding this site, it has helped me make permanent changes to my diet and to really help me understand what good nutrition is. I learn something new everyday here on SparkPeople.com!! Thank You!!
