putting new roof on home .

Saturday, August 11, 2012

thinking how nice it would be to start with a clean slate for our bodies . like a new roof we all need to have a good strong ceiling on our homes . like the foundation needs to be strong to be able to withstand the pressure of bad eating . without the knowledge to eat right our bodies are not as strong as they should . we need to feed our children the right foods .they need to learn young that food can be their best friend . we hold the power to help them learn the basic of good eating . they can learn to eat and love veggies . depend less upon sugar and sugary foods starch and to much snacks .this wasn't what they should be taught to eat . we hold the keys . it is not to late for any of us to start over . lets learn what and how to feed the worlds children . are you helping feed the children . ? some ways are buy the foods that give a meal to a family to have a meal . play the rice game . they give rice for every correct answer you give . or just give a donation to feed the children . hunger is not nice . it stops kids from leaning and developing their best ideas . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Amen and Amen. Kids these days are out of control, eating-wise anyway. Lots of them, my own grandkids included. They start off well, then for some reason the parents allow them to decide what they will and will not eat. Parents are so rushed and stressed these days, there is no time for cooking, so fast food has taken hold of the children. It is so sad. Like lots of things in my life, often I wish I had a do-over when it came to raising my kids. Of course, I know, that isn't possible, so I do what I can to encourage better eating habits. When I go to Beize for the winter months, I am just awe struck at the kids there, their behavior, their manners, their eating habits. But alas, snack foods are sneaking their way into society, even there. I give lots of credit for that to TV!!! Sorry, I didn't mean to rant, it just touched a nerve.....

Hope you are having a great, great day and a wonderful week to follow.

BTW, I am from Virginia...howdy neighbor!
