Making healthy choices has made me successful at losing weight this time around.

Do I eat a healthy snack or do I have the chocolate cake?

Sometimes my body is craving sugary treats so badly but what I have done differently is have a sweet drink of squash instead which is far less damaging on the hips that the cake. Sometimes I will chew on some gum but not often as it makes my jaw ache.

Last night I craved chocolate and simply had a piece of weight watchers bread with a thin layer of chocolate spread on it.

It was a fraction of the calories and totally satisfying.

However, some days I can go without sugary foods and I love it when I wake up the following day feeling incredibly successful because of the day before. You can't buy that kind of feeling anywhere!

So the question I now ask myself is "What can I eat that will do the least damage to my healthy way of life and help me lose some weight?"

I am looking to lose at least 1lb a week and any more is a bonus. emoticon

There is something incredibly exciting about seeing the weight come off and the clothes fitting better than before.

I can't wait to lose another 5 lbs and be closer to my goal.

I can't wait to be the person I know I truly am.

I can't wait to look slimmer and feel happier so I can spread this happiness to others.

I just can't wait ... therefore I must continue to make healthy choices that will get me to my goal.

These are just a few of the activities I enjoy most. The other day I reached a goal by swimming 2 miles in the lake. This is the furthest I have ever swam and I loved it, despite my shoulder aching in protest.

Today I ran a personal best by running 3 miles in 24 minutes and 55 seconds.

Last month I also biked further that I have ever biked - 56 miles.

  I think that you are doing a great job. You have a positive attitude and that really helps.
You will make it through the sugar cravings. You already have!

    My favorite snack is a cut up apple with peanut butter on each piece. I decided that if I still want that other "bad" snack then i can have it after my healthy one. Most times i am not in the mood for the bad snack after the healthy one. And i trick myself into not feeling cheated out of the cakes and pies by allowing them only if i make a healthy choice first.
Hang in there! i know you can do it!
