Went out with friends yesterday day and they didn't want to go to the place where we get the big gill dish. they wanted to go to a new place that has yummy fish and chips. so off we went. It was a late lunch, around 3 pm. I made a deal with myself that if I ate the fish and chips that I wouldn't eat dinner as it would be too lte by the time I got hungry again. So I enjoyed my friend, fish and chips and of course beer. Can't have fish and chips without beer(well I know you can but I caved it). Then we came back to our Casa and everything continued to drink but I grabbed my water bottle and stuck with that. we listened to Tommy Jr's CD and had a good time. It's nice that our friends enjoy Tommy's music. It's nice as you can understand the words and the tunes are catchy. I new that I would get hungry again around 8 pm which I did but I just brushed my teeth and grabbed my kindle and side trashed myself with a good book. Before I knew it it was 10pm and time to goot sleep. in the past I would have just continued to eat and drink thinking that I had "blown" it for the day.....but I think finally my "maintenance" brain has kicked in and I took control. and the good news is that the scale didn't move up at all. woo hoo! so today is another social event but this time I plan to eat my normal healthy meals and not drink as the party today is a cocktail party for friends that are leaving Mexico and is only 2 hours long. It's also from 4-6 so perfect. I don't have to eat or drink anything. will be able to come home and eat my normal diner and will eat a late lunch befor we go so I won't be hungry.
that's the plan and I am sticking to it!
