Normally, I do my grocery shopping on Saturdays, but I got bored today and the option to do some house cleaning didn't sound that exciting. So I decided to do the grocery shopping today. I went to the store and packed bell peppers and kohlrabi in my shopping cart and was ready to go to the evil aisle with the chocolate. That moment I was craving milk chocolate so bad. Ugh, T.O.M is around the corner and I can't believe that it always has such an influence on me. I was slowly approaching the dreaded aisle when I checked my shopping list and noticed that I completely forgot about the potatoes. Lately, I have been enjoying potatoes a lot, and being able to make fat free chips or just eating them with a low-fat herb dip is just something I really look forward to. I turned around and went back the the veggie section, grabbed the potatoes and continued my shopping.
Then, when I came home I noticed that I completely forgot about the chocolate. I didn't even crave it anymore. Is it really that easy to overcome a craving by walking away and distracting yourself? I think I will have to remember that next time I am craving anything.

I wish that I could just forget about those cravings! Glad that you were able to! :) Aunt Lucy is right around the corner for me too and I don't know, but I think it has to be nature's plan to keep us from losing all our energy or something! I start eating like a mad woman and craving chocolate (that I do not normally eat a lot of) the week before Aunt Lucy arrives! It is a mystery to me! I am not a chocolate person normally, I would prefer a big slice of cheesecake most days! :)
