Hi people! I just had to share with you my latest news!
I've been noticing that my pants are definitely fitting looser lately and there's good reason.
I've LOST 6.5# since August 6, 2012!!!!!
That's only 5 DAYS AGO but it is a reflection of the hard work and effort I've been putting in since the end of March, 2012, when I first came on board with SP.
Talk about being elated! I can now say that I am living PROOF that SUCCESS can be achieved if you:
1. BELIEVE in yourself,
2. have a POSITVE ATTITUDE
3. HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE,
4. Work through the rough spots even though you want to QUIT
5. NEVER GIVE UP!
6. KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
7. Find yourself a network of fellow SPers that will root and cheer you on to your victories,
as you would for them.
8. follow what you learn here at SP!!!!
Not only that but, hook up with the right teams here and you'll get the support, help, and assistance you need to overcome any and all obstacles set in your way.
I am a firm believer in CONSISTENCY and in taking BABY STEPS until strong enough (here enters your strength exercises) to do more and achieve more.
Yes, it was rather difficult to go through what I would consider a plateau so early on in my journey to a BETTER, NEW, IMPROVED ME. But, I remained steady and strong through it. I continued to believe that the results would come and they did.
For me, it was all at once! You may encounter a different experience than me.
Part of this I have to believe is due to having found an article here at SP about a woman who had lost 60# in 7 months simply by walking.
I agreed with an SP buddie of mine to begin to walk and to compare notes as we proceeded ahead with this challenge of our own. Keeping each other accountable, one to the other, we would send emails as to the progress and/or stumbling blocks we were going through. It truly helped to hear her story as it did for her to hear mine. Together, we kept it together and have proceeded ahead in our little, personal challenge.
Here's the link to that article that prompted us to do our own little challenge:
Well, as I finished up my 20 minute walk (would like to see myself get up to a 45minute walk) this morning with my dog, I realized that the pants I have been wearing were fitting rather loosely than what I remember. I used to have to shift them around to make them feel more comfortable on me and I realized that I wasn’t doing that. They were actually hanging on me in areas that used to be tight before (tummy and thighs to be exact).
Despite what I was sensing, knowing that I had been pretty good with tracking my food daily, trying to exercise in a way that I know I needed, and holding myself accountable for all this through my network of buddies here, I still could not get myself to check it out on the scale. Too much of a chicken. But that thought just wouldn’t go away today and I wound up taking the plunge and checking it out.
What a surprise to have gotten on the scale to see that I had dropped a whopping 6.5# in only 5 days. I was beside myself at this realization!
Considering I wasn't feeling up to par for about three of those days, I now realized why I wasn’t up to speed. My system was trying to cleanse itself from all the toxins of my past life and my past life's eating habits. It dawned on me that once I overcame this stumbling block, the pounds just dropped off.
Now I know that it won’t always happen like this, but I do know that, if I continue with the same determination, the same drive, the same desire for the same results, that there will be more successful results like this on the road to my personal, desired goals!
I am so excited about all this that I wanted to share this with all of you and tell you all that it CAN and WILL happen for you as well.
I hit a plateau for weeks with no improvement anywhere but, still, I persisted! My body rewarded me for my efforts and my consistency and in the fact that I never gave up!
Don’t you give up either. YOU WILL SEE RESULTS similar to mine if you just continue on the road, be consistent, take baby steps until you can take bigger ones, and BELIEVE that your efforts are worth it. THEY ARE!
