Rainy days

Friday, August 10, 2012

It feels fall-like here today, it was only 57F when I checked at 3:15pm. It's the 2nd day in a row of pretty much an all day rain. The cooler temps are nice, but the dampness is making me feel achy all over, especially where the bone mets are. Felt kind of light headed most of today too, which I believe is from the chemo-induced anemia. I'm just taking it easy and not doing much today, I know when the weather gets better, I will feel better too.

I did get some things done yesterday, including the laundry and a little cleaning. Still trying to figure out what I want to do for my next craft project. I know it will be a crocheted afghan but I haven't decided which pattern yet. Going to use some leftover yarn to try out the different stitch patterns and see which ones will be doable for me before I go out and buy the yarn for it.

I felt a little bit better earlier this afternoon and was able to do my Sit and Be Fit workout (did it yesterday too), but now I am feeling fatigued again. Going to get into pjs soon and spend some time relaxing in my favorite chair reading, then maybe I will do some crocheting while watching tv.

It feels like fall where I'm at, too. Kind of nice, but also too soon. Hopefully, the weather will get better and you will feel better, too.

Glad you got a workout in but also glad you've been taking it easy on yourself.

Glad to hear you're taking it easy and resting up right now, Shari. It's great that you know how to both knit and crochet! I can crochet granny squares and have made afghans from them, but that's the limit of my capabilities in that department. I'll be anxious to hear what you choose for your next project. That's some cool (literally!) weather you're having up there; I wonder if your leaves have begun to turn yet. It's odd - as hot as it's been here, I've seen some red and orange leaves on the ground this early. At the farmer's market, the growing seasons seem to have arrived sooner than anticipated throughout the summer, too. Am headed there early tomorrow AM, in fact! I'll get you some virtual tomatoes :) emoticon emoticon emoticon

I wish that we got some more rain. It's been a while since we got a good rain.

I have a good pattern for a round afghan that you may like. Let me know if you want it. It's crochet.

I'm hoping the weekend is kind to you and you can relax and work on deciding the afghan pattern.

Hey Shari, Your cooler temperatures and rain sounds nice to me. We need rain here in VA. It is 85 right now. That's better than the 90's, so can't complain. Your new project sounds like fun. Years ago I learned how to crochet Granny squares, and made afghans for our babies. It was fun making them!

Enjoy your relaxing evening my friend!
