Holding steady

It's been a whirlwind two weeks! We went camping with friends for a week, adopted a new puppy, and now my boys are getting ready to go back to school. Oh, and we have family coming into town this weekend. On Saturday, I'm making dinner for 22.

Busy much?

The good news is I'm walking a lot and I'm too busy to sit around all afternoon eating potato chips (my downfall). The bad news is I haven't been tracking and planning like I usually do.

I'm ready for my kids to go back to school so I can catch my breath and get myself back on track!

I haven't lost anything in the last two weeks, but I haven't gained. I'm holding my ground and ready to plow forward!

    Homemade tomato bruschetta, veggies and dip, and maybe some homemade caprese pizza dip as appetizers.

Grass fed beef burgers with grilled onions and mushrooms, blue cheese cole slaw, fruit salad, summer squash casserole (gotta throw some squash in there somewhere)!

For dessert, easy peasy chocolate torte.

I just picked up my CSA veggies...holy cow...I now have something like 80 tomatoes!!! Maybe I'll throw in an extra tomato salad!! emoticon

I really like to cook, actually, and don't mind the big group. I just wish the maid would show up to clean my house! emoticon

    It will get easier when the boys are in school... that is the ONLY reason I am looking forward to school starting.... so we can look forward to "routine". Just keep that in mind and it is great you have not gained that is always a good thing... the loss will come soon enough.

    I too am ready for the kids to go back. I just want to clean the kitchen & have it stay that way for a few hours! Have a good weekend!

  Holding ground when busy is a big plus. I have that problem. When I get super busy I tend to fall back on fast food because I'm too tired to cook. You are doing well if you can stay the same.

I love the fall. Starting a routine, cooler weather and some peace when everyone is back to school!
