Haven't had much time to blog! I've been busy working, grocery shopping, preparing, and cooking...HCG style! Thanks to other bloggers out there I've been able to find some creative recipes to cook that are HCG approved for phase 2 which I'm currently on.
This is what I've cooked:
Slow Cooker Roast
Cabbage
Homemade Chicken Broth
Ground beef mix for Lettuce Wraps
Baked Chicken
I've had my hunny grill me a few steaks as well... Veggie wise I haven't ventured out too far on the list. I like broccoli, cabbage, cucumber, and salad. I am getting a little bored with the vegetables (cooked with no butter and no oil!) but I remind myself that I am eating them for nutritional needs, not to satisfy my tastebuds.
I am a busy woman, I wake up for work at 3:30 am and leave by 4:00-4:15 to arrive at work by 4:30. I come home by 1:30 pm and then hang out for a bit, but soon start cooking, cleaning, and need to do my 30 minutes of light cardio. I am also aiming to get more than 5-6 hours of sleep which is the amount I normally get. SO, I have not had as much time to blog!
Here's my week in a nutshell: I felt energized all week, could stay awake much longer, except towards day 6. I think it was the Lipotropic/B12 shot wearing off. I am cautious of my salt usage in cooking because it has made an impact on my fluid balance. There were days where I stayed at the same weight. I wasn't discouraged because I knew that I had still accomplished making healthy choices and walking. I have so many encouraging people cheering for me, especially my Mom. I talk to her daily, and she continues to motivate me. My willpower has gotten WAY stronger! I was surrounded by donuts, candy, pizza, and fried chicken at home & work yet I never gave in.
Accomplishments: I stuck with the program 100% and did not cheat at all!! This is HUGE! It must have paid off because I lost a total of 8.8 lbs!!!! and that was with only 4 days on the VLCD (very low calorie diet). Dr. O was very impressed & happy for me. She could tell from my measurements that 5 of those lbs was FAT. OMG!!
Here's to week 2! How was your week?
