Thank you my Spark Friends!

Thursday, August 09, 2012

The last Month has just flown. It has been almost a month since I lost my Father. Seems like there was so much to do and being away from home almost a week sidetracked me from my Spark "program". The longer I put off the exercise, the worst I felt and the worst I felt, the worst my eating became. I reached out to my Spark Friends stating I really needed some MOTIVATION and as usual, you all came through with flying colors(you always do). When I went to bed last night, I told DH that today was the day I put all excuses behind me and got back on track. I have exercised today and am making healthy choices on my diet. I feel better, I feel stronger (just getting back to doing what I need to do for me empowered me) and I have a new resolve. I have set some short term goals to exercise daily at least 30 minutes and eat healthier. My long term goal is to loose 10#'s by the time I go to The Women of Faith Conference in November. I know I can do it. With you all, I just can't fail. In an effort to be accountable to all of those who have helped, I hope to post frequent blogs during the next 8 weeks.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate Spark Guy and all of you Sparkles!
Today, I quote Dante (thank you Spark Guy) A mighty flame followeth a tiny spark.

I lost track too after the grands left. I have a really painfull coccyx which makes travel hard. I damged it years ago in school. I was about to sit down and a boy pulled the chair away. I crashed to the floor and could not get up. Every so often it plays up and it has this week I must get back on track. I HAVE TO DO IT ON MONDAY. We have a full weekend with community projects I chose to participate in thinking we had little to do . What a misconception that was.

I hope you saw the sunflowers HUGS Pat

    emoticon Sunny,
I just starting coming back regular to Spark again and I am sad to hear about your dad. I know how much you loved him and how you always talked about him and his military service. I am sorry I wasnt here for you but I will keep you and your family in my prayers. You have been such a friend and support to me over the years. Glad to hear you are getting back to doing things that will help you feel better. Take all of the time you need to take care of yourself and be gentle to yourself. You are loved! emoticon

Congratulations ... many emoticon because I'm sure that the process is still difficult and taking action is sometimes harder than just letting things go. Wishing you a wonderful day tomorrow with more exercise and great food choices ... You're worth it!

You have been so supportive to many of us and we are here for you too. I know you'll make your short term goals because you are so dedicated. I'm sure it has been hard for you to keep on track during this last month. Sometimes things set us back for a while, but you will pick yourself up and carry on with the help of our Lord. Losing a parent is very stressful. God Bless you sweetie.
