Just coasting

The day will wrap up soon and I am just coasting. Well,
anticipating a slew of last minute phone calls at the end
of the day. I have been able to keep pace with the service
work today-always a good thing.
I am still very much impressed with SparkCoach. Today's
message centered on tips of how to make the program
work-Weight Loss 101. The importance of tracking and
tracking correctly is invaluable. Energy in and energy out.
Using the proper tools to measure food and keeping those
close at hand. Excellent information that we need to keep
in mind. Eyeballing servings is definitely more accurate
if we measure and weigh our food. Coach Nicole did a
great job.
So, dear friends, take time to reassess how you track
your nutrition. It just could be that you are consuming
more than you think. I know I'll be moving my scale and
cups back to the counter and use them for the next few
days. This just might be one of the areas that I need to
focus on more.

    I can see that the spark coach is helping zero in on the correct ways to do what we are already doing. I know portion size can be an issue. I was logging my cereal and milk one morning when I realized a helping was only 3/4 of a cup. I measured it out and I had been eating about 1 1/4 cups. Then I measured out 3/4 cup milk--wasn't nearly as much as I had been using! Thanks for keeping us updated.

    When going to SparkCoach did you start at the fast break stage? I'm thinking this new way of Sparking would be really helpful for those just starting out or struggling with their plan. Maybe I'm missing something.....I do like it, but right now am not seeing the benefits for me.
