So, I'm the type of person who tends to weigh everyday and obsess over the scale. Now that I have a scale in my room rather than in Mom and Dad's room, it makes that easier. So I made a chart that I only update once a week, even though I may weigh everyday. This has showed me how much my weight will fluctuate. For example, my "official" weigh in day is Tuesday. On Monday, I was 181.0, which is perfectly on track to my goal. On Tuesday, it went up to 181.5, and now today is down to 180.3. When we weigh everyday, we can easily get caught up in the minor ups and downs. But when I made the chart tracking my weight since the beginning of June at my all time high, I realized that it was on a steady downward trend, and hadn't even ever gone up, in comparison to the last week's weigh in. Perspective is important is all areas of life, not the least of which is weight loss.
