We had a great time in Salt Lake at the wedding of our grand daughter. The bride was beautiful. It was wonderful to see so many friends and relatives.
As soon as we arrived at our home airport and turned on our cell phones our happy feelings came to a halt. A message on the cell phone gave us the very sad news that my husband's 37year old godson had fallen down the stairs, hit his head, and died. The family lives in Wisconsin, so we have not been regular visitors, but have been to many events over the past few years and keep in regular touch on the phone. Needless to say, his family is heartbroken.
It reminds us once again how short and how fragile life is. Things can change in a moment and often do. It also reminds us that we need to let the people we love know that we love them. When we say "I love you", this is not just “words” that we say casually. This is a true expression of our feelings. We love our family and our friends. Each and every one of them is loved and appreciated for the special person that they are.
Take extra care of yourselves. You are precious to someone.
