After enjoying working out at the gym with a trainer in NH, I came home to NJ to join a new gym and to cancel my membership at Golds. Golds was fine, but I thought it'd be good to get a new start and potentially to work out with a trainer who has better certifications. I went through the whole sign-up process, though I didn't schedule my session with a nurse or personal trainer (both required at my gym, which is great). I didn't do it because I got sick as soon as I got back from NH. Just the sniffles, but I'm down for the count. I really shouldn't have gone into the gym at all and felt crappy the whole time I was there, but I kept it together because I wanted to take that step quickly before I lost momentum.
Now I haven't been to the gym since last Friday or maybe Thursday, and all I've done is take Spigot out for his walks. We did go on a long walk yesterday.
In the meantime, I need to make sure I'm eating well, in a way that would support my losing weight. I made a big pot of beans and ate it for three days, but now I'm sick of it and should probably just toss it so I don't feel guilty about not eating it and then eating out on less healthful options. I should make smaller portions or freeze things. I'll get the hang of this.
