The bug & other news (with pics)

Wednesday, August 08, 2012

First of all, I'm having a happy day on the scale. After last week's disappointment, I just figure my body is slow at reacting to the hard work I'm putting into it. So, in a nutshell, it's not my "official weigh in day" but I'm at 171.0. soooo freaking close to the 169 mini goal I can taste it. Now, to get my body there by Friday/Saturday.

Wanna hear something funny? I got done weighing myself and got dressed, when I went back into the bathroom I totally checked myself out. LOL I'm getting a waist again!! AND my boobs look bigger than my belly today. That's so awesome. Hey, check it out for yourself. Just don't look at my wild morning hair or the kid's dirty mirror. Am I crazy? Well, probably, but still the clothes at least make me look good and that's a freaking first for a long time, let me tell you.

front view
kinda side view

So, I guess that should motivate me to workout a little more today...SHOULD LOL

My hubby came to the rescue for my bug. It's in the shop and the little bugger is being fixed. Well, one of many little things. We are hoping to hear from the underwriters today regarding the possibility of a home loan approval. Everyone keep your fingers crossed! Think of me when sweating it out...yell at the universe! I want a house!! I want a garden!! Okay, really you don't have to do that. LOL

In other news My hubby and littlest just got back from Washington. Today they received a phone call stating they should send out thank you cards to the bride and groom for I guess, in essence, being allowed to be in their presence? LOL No, really something about because the bride bought the littlest dress (which we offered) and because she did her hair and makeup a card should be sent. I think that's a little weird and pompous, but what do I know about manners? I think they should send US one for allowing them to drive the 800 miles, pay for their own tux and do the speech at the wedding. **scratches head** I just don't get people at all, and last I checked I AM one. Although my Dad swears I'm Bert the alien's kid (from the show SOAP) That WOULD explain the ninja mutant resistant fat cells residing all over my a$$, I mean buttocks.

I helped the oldest pack her final box into the car. She's officially a San Francisco kid. I love her little place and I know she'll do well if she stays focused. Today she woke up to little water ants in her bathroom. Oh the joys of your first place on the first day. I think I have pics of her pink house somewhere....ah well, can you tell we like pink? LOL

Let's see, let's see what other rambles? Doing way better on nutrition. Been forcing myself to eat breakfast before coffee. It's hard because I feel very nauseous when I eat in the morning. Anyone else have this? I think it's just because I've never eaten really when I get up so to all of a sudden change, my body is saying "hold up!!" But, it's supposed to be important. Once, I get the food (oatmeal) literally SHOVED down my throat and I think I can contain it, I RUSH back to the coffee pot LOL That's right, it's still my reward. LOL Only difference with the coffee now is we use Natural Bliss creamer...holy moly .... all I'm going to say is read the ingredients on Coffee Mate Vanilla, then read the ingredients on Coffee Mate Vanilla Natural Bliss. Should speak for itself.

Well, School is about to begin. I'm nervous. Not because of the intense class load I have inflicted upon myself, not because my oldest won't be by my side this semester, but because I always seem to lose track of my time and workouts for 16 weeks at that time. I'm trying to figure out a way NOT to do that. Maybe make myself become a 430am worker-outer.

Oh, I think I just got queasy thinking about that.

Oooooh hey looking gooood there! That little "side post" really sets off the curves in a gooood way!

I know what you mean about breakfast.. I figured out I had to drink a LOT of water first, like this tall iced tea glass I have is 24 oz. I have to add a bit of natural apple cider vinegar for a litttle-bitty- tiny bit of tart flavor in my water (supposedly it makes the liver and guts squeeze inside - kind of like "Toning In A Bottle" - don't we wish?!). That gets my guts primed and then after awhile I can eat!

And today I wrote in my goofball blog about making my oats WITH my coffee maker! How cool is that? Coffee? Oatmeal? (in my case today, it was actually the multigrain hot cereal with flax, made by the "BetterOats" company, oh well.). Double Reward, right? Have your breakfast and your coffee.. and then.. maybe a better cup of coffee as your big reward?? hehe. Just a thought.

Getting hungry so it is lunch time now... gotta scamper!

    Have a great day!!

Sometimes you just want to have lunch with them.

You look great great! You will get to the 160's by this weekend for sure. I too could never eat oatmeal. Have you tried fruit for breakfast? I make for our brunch a fruit drink. First I juice a couple of apples and oranges, then pour that into a blender and add 2 bananas. I then fill the blender with frozen fruit, whatever kind you like or feel like that day. Blend it all up into a smoothy. It tastes wonderful and feels wonderful in your body.

I am glad to hear your bug is at the doc and will be back on the road soon. Good luck with the house loan and as for the 4:30 am work out schedule.... you go girl...

I don't eat first thing in the morning usually - unless I'm getting up later. Very early my body just isn't ready to deal with food, so I might have some juice or something small and soothing (string cheese works for me, as does pudding). All I'm doing is breaking my fast, not trying to do a full-scale meal. Around 9-10 am I finally feel ready to truly eat.

    Very nice pics!

Your blogs crack me up. I feel like we could be chatting, sitting across from each other having a cup of iced coffee.

First of all, congrats on 171!!!! Hope to see that someday in the near future. (Scale isn't moving much for me this week. I peek, too.) And I'll keep my fingers crossed for your loan approval!

Since I've started my 8 min. in the morning program again I've been doing well getting it in each morning, but it's summer and morning is 7:30 -8:00ish. When school starts it will have to be much earlier...groan. I, too, will face this challenge...and though maybe not a 4:30 am worker outer, I'll have to get up earlier to continue this program - and then will try to squeeze in walk/jog at night.

As for nausea at breakfast - YES - this used to be me, too. I've been working on eating breakfast, though, for the last year and a half or so and it doesn't happen any more. Stick with it a bit and I'll bet it subsides.

Keep up the great work! Loved the picts. You're looking great!

Sweetheart you are looking wonderful! I love the comment about the thank you cards as I am sitting her scratching my head over it too. I never heard of that. Heck I super suck because I never got all my thank you's out to everyone. Guess that proves I was raised in a barn...right? LOL
I will be hoping and praying that you guys get the house. I know how badly you want it. Plus I can't wait to see pictures!!
