My workout for the month:

Wednesday, August 08, 2012

So I've mentioned a few times the crazy workout I devised. It is based on Tabata training and it is a great challenge. It for me is definitely out of my comfort zone which I am loving.

Here's my plan:

Mon, Wed, Fri

10 min of cardio followed by Tabata style training - 20 sec of activity w/10 sec rest for a total of 4min of:

Set 1:
burpess
push up row on knees
mountain climbers
squat, curl, press - alternating the lead leg

1 min of rest

Set 2:
jump rope
core kickbacks
pivo jacks
rear lunge w/double arm row

1 min of rest

Set 3:
star power
svelte reach
step up on the bench
core belly blaster

1 min of rest

3-5 min of cool down stretches

Tues and Wed C25k training

My much fitter co-worker told me I was crazy and I said maybe but I need to shake it up and this definitely gets me away from all cardio on a machine and all weights with dumbbells/machines. I've never tried anything like this, some of these exercises I've never done or haven't done since school or a few Y classes. I managed two reps of each set on Mon, we will see what today brings. A few of the moves involve weights and I don't think I'm going to use the weights for those until I'm more comfortable in the routine as I don't want to injure myself and hinder my progress or plan.

My sweety told me the other day he loves me, not my body, however he does like my squishier spots, lol. I told him while I'm okay with keeping the squishy spots I really want them gone and he said "honey whatever you do its for you and you've gotta be happy so go for it", GOD how I love this man - giggles -

Anyway, thanks for reading, back to work I must go as break time is over.

That is awesome that you are willing to challenge yourself, that makes all the difference because sometimes we are capable of so much many than we allow ourselves to do. Work hard and never give up! Great that hubby embraces you for you, same for me and my hubby!
