Wednesday and all on track

Wednesday, August 08, 2012

I survived today and have kept on track. Dinner was ok at the pub - I had chicken tenders wrapped in bacon with veggies and a couple of chips. Tracked the rest of the day. emoticon

I had my appointment with the eye specialist - good news. The pressures in my eyes are down from 26 to 20 with the drops. I don't need to go back for 6 months, when I will have another field test. Very happy with the results.

I remade the beds for my daughter and grandchildren coming down this weekend, did some vacuuming and tidying up. Didn't get into the garden, but that is ok.

WI tomorrow - will be interesting to see what happens!

Off to lunch with my WW friend, and we will meet up with other friends. I have decided to buy DH an iPad for his birthday in September/father's day and for the Thailand trip - so he doesn't take over mine! emoticon

I am sitting watching Criminal Minds - don't know why I do - it gives me goose bumps and is scary but I love watching it! emoticon

I too love criminal minds and I'm not sure why. Love the characters and the ultimate justice, but hide behind closed eyes ay the horror of it all. I still miss the loss is the first lead star.

I can relate about the eye thing. My mom is legally blind because of glaucoma. I know how precious are our eyes. She lost her best eye when she got a very serious eye infection and the eye left already had very poor vision because of the damage of glaucoma. She aged about 10 years in 3 days when she lost her best eye -- no longer able to drive, she became dependent on us whereas she used to be the one helping us all the time. My own eye pressure was up to 25 at one point, it is down to 23 or 22 now, and my ophtalmologist still believes I don't require drops yet. Fingers crossed. You must be very relieved that the pressure is back in the normal range!

Have a grand time with your daughter and grandchildren this weekend! Hope the WI was satisfactory?

Hugs,
Johan

"Typical" days don't usually happen to us. Planning is critical...to the extent that we can plan. We never have to "blow it".
