A GOOD DAY
Tuesday, August 07, 2012
I got up about 8 this morning and started working around the house. There is so much that I need to do and some days I will walk by and just look at it. I decided I needed to take action now to get some things done. First I had some hot tea and some yogart and then tacked the table. It had stacks of mail and magazines. I took care of all that. I kept only what is important, saved several of the magazines and loaded up the other to take to the market and resell. I read my magizens and then recycle them. Occassionly one will have something that I need to keep. Okay. I do keep all Food and My Food magazines. All other go. I cleaned out two of the kitchen drawers today. That is a task I hate, but they get so cluttered. Things go that we do not use. I will resell a lot of them.
I had two leftover shrimps and a small red potatoe and a half a biscuit form Red Lobster for lunch. That may not sound like a lot, but the numbers really add up on these items. Especially the biscuit. That is why I only ate half at dinner last night.
I had errands to run and I went by Penneys to pay my bill. I was so pround of myself as todays payment would be a zero balance. Oh, should not have shopped. They started back having some of their sales again. I found a pair of berry color summer jeans and then turned around and found a summer sweater that matched. I felt that was a good buy at $15 for the two pieces. I started around the store and ended up in the shoe department.......told myself no shoes......they were having a really good sale there. My go to every day shoes are wearing out. I found a replacement for them. I personally cannot wear manmade material next to the skin on my feet. I have a bad reaction to that so I really have to be careful. I asked the clerk if she had a certain shoe in my size and she checked No. Okay, I was safe. But she went to the back and brought out everything that was on sale in my size.......Bad news......several pair were leather uppers which work for me. I had been longing for a pair in that new orange, but not orange shade this year. I have several tops that would go perfect with them. One pair was that color. Oh the most expensive.....I had been looking but would not pay the high prices. Well, they were a winner. There was a gold pair of strap sandels that was only $12. and leather upper, and then another that is almost a pewter wedge sandel. I rejected all the others (thank goodness as I would be in real trouble)........Well, I will say that my account is no longer paid off. I will need to save lots of money this month to make a big dent in this charge.
I will say that since Penneys went to their new format I have not spent much money there. I am a bargain hunter. (Sister says I can be cheap, but I want the most for my money) I will not pay full price for clothing unless it is an emergency and I have no choice. I like to have several options when dressing. I can make a pair of good black jeans into 50 diffent outfits with different tops and jackets...........I want a bargain and I hunt it out.
I came home from my shopping trip and Miss Coco and I watched a program on TV. She was so excited to sit with me and she would stand up and look at the tv. I sometimes wonder if she is really watching.
Hubby came home and she went out with him and ran so hard that she finally dropped at his feet. He was laughing so hard at her. She will go 90 miles an hour until she can hardly move. She looks like a little flying fur ball when she does this. I think it is when she really has lots of pinned up energy.
