Grapes, “queen of the fruits." I love grapes as anyone who looks at my nutrition page knows. I buy them in quantity during the summer and I bag them in 1 cup increments and freeze them for a treat year round and only 65 calories a cup. The greatest of on the go snacking.
Grapes have antioxidants that are known to help in the prevention of cancer. In fact in the early 20th century a grape diet was claimed to cure stomach cancer. So how can you go wrong eating grapes? Before you go overboard note the sugar content of 1 cup of red grapes is 23 gms. I love grapes and sometimes eat too many. If your going to flub your diet, it beats using chocolate.
