Well today started off pretty good did everything I was suppose to do. I'm happy but that thought of me falling off and not staying with it is what kind of bothers me. I wonder what do people do to keep themselves motivated? what do they do or say to themmselves to help them push threw it and don't stop for anything? hmmmm well only time will tell ^_^ have a blessed one

All great advice. I keep myself motivated by realizing I want to enjoy life, have fun .....for a long time. I eat healthy most of the time, allowing for those 'craving's occasionally.

Checking in regularly with my teams also keeps me motivated. Makes me realize I'm not alone, and all the things I go through, so does everyone else.

    You can do it! emoticon

Be consistent and when you start seeing results - pay attention to your non-scale victories (NSVs) and post about them.. THink about them and relish them.. and listen to the NSVs and Woohoos of other members.. These can be motivating, too.

I've been here two years. I stay because after years and years of yo-yo dieting, I am finally succeeding. I read the success stories, they really keep me going! I read the Spark book and followed the stages. The book just clicked with me. I finally "got it".
Dieting does not work. To lose weight in a healthy way we need to make changes that we can live with every day. We have to move more, regularly.

I've noticed some people buckle down and really focus, changing their entire lifestyle and lose the weight. OR many give up after a few weeks because they just could not live with the extreme changes in their lifestyle. I went the way of the turtle, slow weight loss. I made small slow changes, stuff I can continue to do, stuff I can live with. Its working, that is what keeps me motivated!

I have kept myself motivated by telling myself that this is a life journey and I only have one life and I want to feel good each and everyday! I feel best when I am in control of my eating and getting my exercise in. sure I know that I will fail at times but I have finally been able to change my thinking and when I do mess up I forgive myself right away and get right back on program the next meal and do not let myself continue to binge. And finally after 60 years, I get it! I know my body will not crave junk food if I do not feed it junk or processed foods. I know it will not crave sugar if I do not eat sugar (to me sugar and empty carbs are like drugs). If you feed yourself lots of fruits and veggies your body will feel satisfied and full.
Best of everything to you on your journey

I keep myself motivated by preparing my food ahead of time. Sometimes I cook more than enough to eat for one sitting, so I freeze the leftovers and eat it the next time for lunch. I also use my slow cooker, which really helps with meals to help me stay on track. emoticon emoticon
