Major snit going down here

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Something annoyed me at work today and on the way home I bought everything imaginable to eat and have eaten most of it and now feel sick and bloated.

Whose fault is it? Mine

Who knew they were going to be sorry later? Me

Who is the only person in the WORLD who can do anything to stop this happening in future? I am.

I will be revisiting this blog entry at regular intervals to remind myself of the above three points.

Oh and to top it all, one of the cats flipped a bit of Whiskas on to the kitchen floor this evening and I trod on it.

Squelch.

I don't deserve sympathy, but it would be welcome.

I am sorry about your bad day. You are correct that you are the only one responsible for your actions. Stepping in the cat food, I agree with EABL81 and 4KWALK, it could have been regurgitated food.

If they rub your nose in it, congradulate them on their promotion and end the conversation there. If they continue, ask them if there is something else you can help them with.

Emotional eating is so hard. You have my sympathy and support.

Instead of beating yourself up about it, try making a list of things you could do to make you feel better that don't involve eating?

At one time I had a friend who worked as a salesman for American Fence Co. Talking with him, getting to know about sales, fences, and customers, I learned something.

If a person won't take a fence no one can give them a fence.

Why give to anyone or anything power that's yours, and yours alone?

Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

I'm so sorry you had such a crappy day! One thing that I have to keep reminding myself - we work to live, not live to work. So don't let work get in the way of your goals and dreams. Easier said than done, I know. But you're already on your way past that, just by being aware of the situation and how your response left you feeling physically. Use this to strengthen your resolve. She may have the promotion now, but you'll have the new you!

As for the Whiskas incident - better stepping on it in that form, then if it had come back up again. We've all had that experience! You know, barefoot, first thing in the morning...Ewwww!

The biggest thing I'm noticing is that you completely realize that your choices weren't ideal, after that horrible frustration, and don't make any attempts to cover it up, or pretend it didn't happen (I've done that too many times). Maybe next time you feel the urge to binge on 'comfort food' you can try to make yourself grab one healthy thing for every unhealthy thing you pick up...and then eat the heathy stuff first. I've found that I've bought a chocolate bar, just because I feel I need it and then wait until I get home, eat a piece of fruit and then realize that chocolate bar really isn't going to be that good. But if I still really want it I've started breaking the unhealthy stuff into smaller pieces and try to ration it out a bit. Sometimes it works. Even if that doesn't work don't beat yourself up. Everyone makes choices that may not be the best for us at some point. The more important thing is making better choices most of the time.

You know it's tough when you work your butt off and the person that you know only got the job because they brown nosed for it gets the job..... I can honestly feel for you and then to rub your nose in it is just being well a witch with a "B" instead....
But what you did to yourself because of her, you gave her too much power it's bad enough she's rubbing it in your face don't let the witch have that much power over you!
BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T LET HER ALSO MESS WITH YOUR HEALTH, SHE'S NOT WORTH IT!!!
HUGS to you , I'm so sorry you had a bad day! emoticon

I know that you already know the answer to this entire scenario...you came to SP and you wrote a blog telling the entire world how you feel...no screaming, no laying down on the floor and kicking, no biting, pinching or throwing stuff...you just came to the right place and got it out of your system. How grown up you are! And, don't you just feel better for getting it off your chest. Do you realize that we would all feel better if we did exactly that when we were down and upset??

BRAVO!!! Take a bow and let it go. Sweating the small stuff is a waste of arteries.

You can come to my SP and do it anytime you feel the need. emoticon

I know that you will move forward from this point. It is interesting how our body speaks to us when we put the wrong stuff and the wrong amount in it! The good thing is that you listened and recognized what was happening. You did not go on eating for days.
Work issues can be difficult; however, you are strong and smart! You will only use this blog to grow and remind yourself to use the other skills you have to deal with being handed something painful.
Do not beat yourself up. Love yourself and keep on pushing.

Remember, you have a lot of friends at SparkPeople who care about you and will support you on those bad days.

Sorry you had a bad day but put it behind you and learn from it. Don't beat yourself up but it's a good idea to re-read this blog to remind you of what went wrong.

I had to laugh about the Whiskas - can honestly say been there done that.

A little sympathy and understanding can be good for the heart and the soul. I'm sure you're not the only one who has done this and you won't be the last. So I'm going to send you some extra emoticon emoticon emoticon and hope you're having a better day.
