Month two results

I've been gaining and losing the same two-three pounds for the last month. I know exactly why--I have discovered two frozen vegan foods that I really like, but need to eat in moderation (or learn to cook myself!): Kashi's Mayan Harvest Bake and TaDah's falafel lemony hummus wrap. Also, I've been eating homemade trail mix--tasty, but high in calories. And since I can't do cardio right now (I haven't been able to find time in my schedule to go to the doctor to have her sign off on my gym app, which is through a hospital--so no swimming just yet), I haven't been exercising at all. I'm finishing up two summer classes for my professional certification, and I'm starting a second job this afternoon, so I've had a lot going on. At any rate, the same two-three pounds...too many carbs. I know this. I've always eaten a lot of carbs.
However, I have lost another three inches in the last month! That's a total of 9 1/2 inches since June 9. I will take it. Watch out when I'm finally cleared for my usual low-impact cardio (Leslie Sansone DVDs, walking, Zumba)...I'm hoping the weight will start falling off! :P Until then, working hard to get more whole foods and fewer processed foods into my mouth. Still tweaking my eating plan; I have a copy of the Engine 2 diet on the way. It's a lot of what I'm doing now, except no oils...not sure I can go that strict, but I'm interested in learning more about it. There are a lot of recipes I want to try...need to spend Sunday cooking and freezing food in portion sizes so I can pop one in the microwave for a quick meal, since I'm not going to have a lot of time between job #1 and job #2 to cook.
I am feeling better overall, even lugging Frankenfoot around. :) I did try to stop taking the probiotic and my stomach pain came back, so I started up again. I'll ask my doctor next month which bugs she wants me to ingest (well, okay, bacteria), then I'll find a comparable one at Earth Fare. (Align has milk protein in it.) My gait is all messed up, so my hips and back are a bit sore, but greatly reduced since I stopped the dairy.
I'm looking forward to my bloodwork next month! That will be some tangible progress I can show my doctor...even more than the 10 pounds I've lost so far.
