Monday/Tuesday's events and thoughts

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Yesterday I spent quite a few hours in the garden and spread 3 bales of sugar cane mulch and weeded a couple of beds. Very happy with the results.

I had an hour and a half remedial massage - boy was I sensitive - so sore to touch all over, but the massage was great and I feel heaps better for it today - which is emoticon

Off to the doctor in the afternoon (yesterday) to get a letter stating what medication I am taking and some scripts I need. Blood pressure was excellent. I asked her to check my left breast as it was sore. She couldn't find any lumps but gave a referral for a mammogram which is this Friday (plus an ultrasound). I am not too worried, but will be pleased to get the results back, just the same. I have had my regular mammograms but she didn't have the results (I fear they may have gone to my old doctor at another practice) so it is best to have another check.

I also mentioned that I dozed off a couple of times on my trip to Sydney and so I have a referral to a 'sleep' specialist - this is after the holiday to Thailand which is ok. I was probably just plain tired, but again, a check is a good thing.

I arrived home to a message on the answering machine confirming my appointment with the eye specialist tomorrow - and that I needed a new referral. So, I phoned the doctor's surgery - and the girl suggested I see the doc today to make sure I have the referral for tomorrow. That's ok as I had forgotten to get a script for my anti inflammatory pill.

Woke up this morning less than enthusiastic about getting back out in the garden, which is a pity, as it was a lovely day. But I listened to my body, which was aching from the massage, and mooched around for a while.

I went out into the back yard before the doctor and dug some weeds out of the lawn - very therapeutic! And the sun .... so warm, yet I had the heater on inside.

Off to the doctor, got my referral and mentioned that I was feeling a little light headed, tired and just how I felt on the trip up to Sydney - so I had some blood tests done. I also mentioned the Pilates and how sore I was afterwards ... she feels it is not for me at this stage with my back and hip - so I am going to see the exercise physiologist who will give me some exercises to do in the heated pool - but also can be done while I am in Thailand in a normal pool! I have to see the nurse at the surgery first though, as she has put me on a plan which means the visit to the exercise guy will be covered by medicare. I can also ride the stationary bike, but only for a few minutes at a time for now, and walking is the main one. So I need to get myself moving in that direction! emoticon

Appointments, appointments, appointments! Still she is looking after me, and I am very pleased about that. emoticon

I also have appointments for hair colour/cut, waxing eyebrows and eyelash tint, Max grooming and injection which due while we are away ..... 2 weeks today and we will be on our way!

Today I have managed to track my water, fruit and veggies and food in general and I am on track. emoticon The exercise is the one I have yet again fallen down on ... but counting my steps.

I am out for dinner tomorrow night - really need to make a good choice there!

Have a good night everyone - I will do some more 'sparking', then a read .... off to
