Beginning of Week 2 of Taming my Sweet tooth

It is week 2 ot my taming the sweet tooth challenge. This time, I should be able to recongnize "hidden" sugars and know what they are called. I took a quiz that went with the second week of the challenge today. I learned quite a bit from that quiz, but may have to take it again so I can be more familiar with the scientific names of the sugars and know which ones are imitation or caloric sugars.
Once I am familiar with the diffrent sugars, I must start making my sugar intake less. I will have to journal my foods. Today, I really didn't do so well in lessening my intake of sugar, but will do better tommorow. But, I know when, why, and how I felt when I ate the sugary food.

    Thanks! Maybe I should try to increase protein in my diet and see if it works for me.

    I find that the more sugar I eat, the more I want. The worst time for me is after a meal. I grew up with dessert every day & it's a tough habit to break. Increasing my protein has helped. Keep working at it and you'll do great! emoticon
