Big Day for our family tomorrow....

Monday, August 06, 2012

I expect emotions to be running high. I'm going back to work tomorrow after being on Mat leave for the last year. My Willow will be going to her first day at Day Care. And my hubs is starting an awesome new job :)

I'm actually looking forward to being back at work. I know Willow will be in good hands, and it'll be good for her to be with other kids. I have a plan to keep myself physically active. If I wake up at 5:30, I can get a 30 minute workout in & jump in the shower before getting Willow up & ready. I know myself. I will not feel like working out after work & dinner, so I'll have to become a morning person :)

And very exciting stuff - I was trying on some old clothes this week. I figure no one will be impressed if I go to work in jammies or whatever else I've ben wearing while on leave, and if I go back in the maternity clothes I was wearing when I left...Well, I've already had embarrassing incidents with clothes falling off so that's not going to happen. And turns out I fit in my clothes from BEFORE I met my hubs!!! Yay! I'm 40 lbs lighter than when I left work, and 20 lbs of that is pre-pregnancy weight. Will they notice????

Have a great week SparkWorld :)

I'm sure everyone will notice how amazing you look. 40 pounds is a huge deal. (No pun intended but I'm not taking it back. Heehee.)

I'm glad you have a realistic plan based on you and how your body operates. That's essential with everything you have on your plate.

Hope Willow enjoys day care. Having been the director of a day case/preschool at one point, I know how hard those first few days can be--for baby and for mom. But, as you said, she's in good hands.

Congrats on everything that's going on and I'm sending you tons of positivity to carry with you through your exciting day.

Sending happy thoughts your way! I remember my first day back from Maternity. I had mixed emotions. Now that baby has babies in day care. Enjoy the journey. It goes quickly.
