Three weeks into maintenance

Sunday, August 05, 2012

So it's been three weeks that I have been working the maintenance phase of my journey. Feeling a little bit more relaxed with the whole idea. Have to admit I was a little scared (not what I expected to feel like). I am taking those baby steps, like in the beginning of this journey. One day at a time for me. Today when I weighed in I actually lost 1/2 pound....think that was do to all the walking at the fair on Thursday. Been trying to add 100-200 calories a day....which after two years of eating less per meal is not easy to do (at least for me). Adding a Greek yogurt with some frozen fruit seems to be my go to most days.
Hope everyone is still doing the best they can on this journey. We are never alone here with all the support and encouragement we find in our SP friends.
Thanks for stopping by and let's stay healthy together today. Hugs!

Good to hear about your success. I can't imagine having to eat more than I already am. But I'm just at the beginning of the journey.

It sounds like you are doing great with maintenance, taking it slow and steady. :)

I highly recommend the "At Goal and Maintaining" team. It sure has helped me through the mysteries of maintenance. :D

Sounds like you are doing ok in maintenance. I will be happy to see that day, hopefully the end of this year. That is wishful thinking but a goal I look at. emoticon

Way to go, fellow Sparky Maintainer! It IS hard to know how to behave when you enter maintenance. But you are clearly "getting it"! Good for you.

Barb, it sounds like you are doing great! Maybe I need to go to a fair and ride on a Harley too. LOL Maybe adding 100-200 calories is not enough to stop the weight loss. But I am sure you will find the right formula for you. I have a long way to go and still struggle at night but you are one of the success stories I hold onto. Have a great day, my friend...((HUGS))

I didn't realize that you just went into maintenance. I've been there a few months now and have just bounced back and for for about 5 pounds but I've been struggling to get my fitness back so hopefully I'm getting there!

Congrats on getting there and settling in!

Take care,

Nothing like the rumble of a ride on a Harley to knock another 1/2 pound off of you! I loved the picture of you and your brother on the bike. I think I missed it before! Great job on maintaining your loss!
