Summer Slipping Away

It's Week #2 with the orthopedic boot, it is getting better but I can't ride or swim or walk or run until it's completely healed. In 2 weeks, I will go back and get it checked out again, until then I'm taking PT a couple times a week.
The other night I was feeling really down about how everything's been going, and I got to chatting with a guy I met on SP. He was really encouraging and helpful, and I'm working on keeping my goals in front of me, even though I can't really exercise right now. First I'm writing them down every day, even the most tiny of daily goals, and they are all things I can realistically do and control. Like drinking enough water. And getting at least 2 green vegetables into my day. And completing an upper-body ST workout. I can't do much about my foot while it heals, but I don't have to throw away all the goals I have either.
So that's about all I have to say for that at the moment!
I'm excited about school starting up again. My kids are ready to go back, and I'm ready to go back. I have 2 C&I classes (Curriculum & Instruction), 2 Math classes, and one Physics class. It's my last year before I student-teach, and I am so excited! I can't believe it's finally happening. When I was 18, I couldn't have been further from going to college. When I was 30, I couldn't have imagined being in college. Even when I was 40, actually graduating with a degree seemed a really long way off. And now, in less than 2 years, I will be done and hopefully getting a job. I have a lot of friends who are teachers, and many of them have been a huge support for me. I am very fortunate. :)
