I had a wonderful day yesterday getting Vito his checkup for vacation.. he was a quart low on oil, but Chris took care of that.. he is fit as a fiddle to take us on our trip! I always visit with the guys, shoot the breeze,, so it was a pleasant morning.. I left there and drove a couple miles down the road to spend the rest of the morning and all of the afternoon with my friend Karen; she is the friend who went to Florida with me back in 2007.
We both work full time, her hubs is retired, so we never get to chat or see each other,, it has been many months since I was out there to see them. Tim was installing the risers and stairs on their new front porch,, Trex was their choice and it looks great! Mine is next, when I save the $$$...

The oppressing heat never did materialize, so I enjoyed actual fresh air as they live out in the country with deer coming in their yard.

This morning I decided to get up later(5 a.m.) and go to the tire store when they open at 8a.m. and have them check Vito's rubber. I put so few miles on my car(18,000 in five years) that what usually happens is, the valve stems get dried out or cracked and need to be replaced. Discount Tire does it all free of charge, as well as rotations. I will be back home by 8:20 at the latest, as the store is two blocks from here.
Next is Aldi for those scrumptious $.99 Michigan cantaloupes!! WE bought three last week and one is left. So good!!
Temps to hit in the high 90's today, so we will be inside working on clearing closets and start to pack for the trip..
