Okay, so the resignation was received as well as I could have hoped. Much surprise from my colleagues and slapping of heads and an occasional "Oh, CR*P"! So now I've got an office to clean, plants to take home and all that.

My current job allows for some casual dress (Ag College people are frequently found in jeans and boots!) My new job is a little less casual! I have accessed my closet and found that the clothes that fit me best are my workout clothes! Seriously! I have one pair of black slacks and two tops that fit, one black. Black on black is okay when I'm in photographer mode and want to be inconspicuous, but not as a work wardrobe.

So this evening I went looking for a new pair of slacks and coordinated tops. Since the black slacks had been necessitated by a wedding photo shoot, I had an idea of size. Before I went straight to the Plus Size section and looked at lots of stuff that I would never consider wearing - why do fashion people think that large chested women want to have a huge flower on the front of a shirt? I mean really! But I digress... I felt like a kid in a candy store. I previously wore 18W relaxed pants and 2X tops and here I was in the Misses section, trying on 14P and L or XL tops. That's quite a change for me!

I didn't want to go overboard because I intend to lose more weight, but I walked out of the store with a new pair of brown/grey herringbone slacks and 3 new tops! Plus there was a sale and I had a 20% off coupon! Life is good!
