Rough Night

Friday, August 03, 2012

So I have done really well the last 3 days. Loads of fresh veggies, some fresh fruits, very little bread. Even walked a mile yesterday. But right now, my stomach hurts. I am fairly certain I would not have died without the bacon cheeseburger and fries I just ate at 11 pm. But all my brain said was "you're starving! Remember the bacon cheeseburger you have been craving for the last 2 days? Ask Nick to go get food. Come on fat girl, you're hungry!"
This is it. I am so sick of shoveling my own grave with a fork. I'm tired of not believing in myself.
Shut up fat girl. I'm gonna rock this!

One choice at a time! If you absolutely MUST have the burger, just throw out the bun and wipe off the ketchup!

The fries? Always remember that starch begins to turn into sugar while it's STILL IN YOUR MOUTH! (Look up "amylase" if you don't believe me!)

If you're on a low carb plan it's correct to eat when you're hungry. If you're eating out of habit or emotion, though, you have to be aware of that, acknowledge it, and do your best to work around it. At the very worst, try to overeat ON PLAN, lol!

Keep blogging and keeping yourself accountable. It gets better!!

Today is gone. Tomorrow is another fresh slate, waiting for you to track all the good healthy choices you make through the day. Remember, if you get a flat tire, you don't jump out of the car and poke holes in the other 3 tires. No, you pull off to the side, find out where the leak is, fix it and get back on the road. Same here. You see what you did that got you off track, so tomorrow just get back on the road to a healthy lifestyle. That voice telling you that you 'needed' the bacon cheeseburger might have been saying that you need to look at your tracker to see if you're getting enough protein. Veggies are great, but we need balance and we need to track EVERY morsel every day--and every bit of exercise too. I know you're going to rock. In fact, I think you rock now because you realize what you're doing and you've come clean about it here. I'll be pulling for you to reach your goals. I think it's a good idea to aim for 10 lb. at a time or 10% of your weight at a time. Those little goals are easier to achieve and the success builds us up and makes us ready to tackle the next goal. Hang in there. Together WE CAN DO IT! emoticon

Good grief...I just put everything from today in the tracker. Every single bite. It wasn't just tonight, the whole day was a disaster. I forgot about the cappuccino, and I had wayyy too many nuts this morning. Tomorrow will be better, for sure.

It's always darkest before the dawn. And by dawn I mean when losing weight as a necessity to you, not an option. You can do it if you want to, but is it important enough to you?

Okay, some tough love from a stranger...

Stop calling yourself "Fat girl." Even if you're trying to joke it off, or keep yourself in place with a reminder that you need to get healthy, calling yourself denigrating names does not help.

I told my friend yesterday that we were to only give ourselves positive affirmations when we look in the mirror. So that is your new goal. Look at yourself positively, about how strong you've been (the last 3 days - walked a MILE, ate fresh fruits and veggies...)

You ARE gonna rock this. Just make sure to track all food, no matter if it's good or bad, eaten in private with no one watching...it all matters.

You can do it. Be good to yourself. You deserve your love and respect more than anyone else deserves your love and respect.

A stranger who's on your side,
AndreaG89
