Gluten allergy sucks

Friday, August 03, 2012

was feeling fantastic last weekend, and then we decided to go to lunch and for a walk. Short version of story, within 20 min or less of eating, I was sick and running to the bathroom. I thought that was it and felt groggy, tired, very fatigued and brain fogged.... though thougtht the walk would help. Enjoyed the walk as much as possible, just felt good to move. The next day I had over 6 hours of driving to do with three kids in the car, fighting.... so when I felt completely drained the next day I attributed it to the driving with crabby children.... then the next day.... hmmm by the end of the next day I realized that I had been glutened for sure... and the strange thing is that the brain fog seemed to have made it hard to realized that. It has been nearly a week- and I am still sooooo drained....
the worst part is that when you get that brain foggy and bone tired... my routine is gone....because then I feel like a bump on a log...and I don't do the other things I should do...
I've never had a tattoo, but now am thinking that maybe I should get one on my hand or wrist that says "DONT DO NOT EAT OUT" its not worth it.....
still somewhat weak....
forcing myself to take my vitamins & lemon water today.... feel like sleeping....which is something I almost never do while the sun shines.. emoticon uggghhhh... I hate gluten...
haven't felt this sick in ages....
and NOPE I didn't order anything that had it in it.... even asked the waitress and told her of the allergy.....
If I EVER eat there again---- it will be coffee emoticon

    LadyJ,
I have started noticing some differences in reaction to sugar also, what has your friend's daughter noticed?

That is terrible. I had a classmate who's daughter has a gluten allergy and she suffers with issues when she eats too much sugar. I'm thankful I don't suffer with it but feel bad for those who do. Hang in there, in time you'll find the things that work for you. As the gluten allergies are becoming more diagnosed hopefully restaurants will start making changes for that as well.

Hang tough, it'll pass.
