Today's weigh-in showed a loss of 1.0 pounds. Oh, I am SO CLOSE to ONEderland I can almost touch it. I think the scale might have been a little more kind if I hadn't had a pretty high level of sodium last night. But that's okay. Total released since March 1: 34.4 pounds. I'm still on target to reach my next mini goal on 9/13 of an additional 10 pounds since last goal achieved.
Measurement changes of note:
Waist: -1" (Total -6")
Hips: -1" (Total -5")
Thigh: -1" (Total -1")
Upper arm: -1" (Total -4")
Taking into consideration all of the measurements I track in addition to those above, I've gotten rid of 28" across various areas of my body. And I'm finally starting to notice it.
A couple of big NSVs this week:
1) On Monday, I pushed on the elliptical and in 40 minutes, completed 3.1 miles. This makes a pace of 13 min/mile. I decided last week to do the 5k on the elliptical since it's easier on my knees.
2) On Wednesday, I again pushed on the elliptical, and maintained an average pace of 12 min/mile. I hope I can maintain that for the big day tomorrow: the actual "race day".
3) Yesterday: I bought my first non-plus-sized shirt in I-don't-even-know-how-long. I just about cried.
I decided to put together a "Before and Current" picture. I found a picture from 2004 of me at close to my highest weight (I'm guessing about 280 lbs) and then one that Mike took of me on Sunday in a new-OMGITFITS-shirt. The resulting picture is quite shocking to me. The part of this that's missing is the first bout of weight-loss I did in 2005 where I'd lost about 35 pounds. I am quite embarrassed by this "before" picture. But it serves as a good reminder of just how far I've come. I still have a long ways to go…but this is good encouragement…
