Dear people -
I'm trying to be fair on pricing. Yes, some items will be inexpensive and priced to move. No, I will not split up a set of dishes and sell you only the bowls. Yes, the prices on the antiques are firm - an antique only increases in value as it ages, it doesn't decrease. So no, I will not come down on the price. I am asking for what I paid several years ago - which means if it were in an antique store, it would be twice the price. It is a good deal. Don't expect me to lower the price just because you don't want to spend money. If you like it and recognize it as good quality or a special piece, expect to pay decent money for it.
Oh, and no, I'm not taking the art quilt wedding gift off the wall and sell it to you - it will be packed up before the house sale. I'm doing you a favor by letting you view things now. The art quilt will be off the wall on the day of the sale.
And please don't come and stay an hour just chatting - it's 9 PM, and we held off dinner waiting for you to come over.
Thank you. See you Saturday.
Love & kisses, Phebe
