what can i do to excercise with a hurt ankle

i have been going to zumba 3x a week and walking anywhere from 3 to 8 miles a day 5 x a week, but unfortunatly i have bad ankles. well my ankle is very swollen, but i dont want to stop losing weight, i have been losing 5 lbs a month with the above mentioned regime. can any one suggest something that i can do to continue on my journey and not regain any weight. any and all suggestions are appreciated. one day at a time on this journey.

    I am doing upper body at this time. I badly sprained my ankle Saturday night.

    I would get your ankle checked out to see exactly what the problem is - it could be there's nothing to worry about but the ankle is a pretty complex joint.

As far as nonweight bearing exercise,can you bike? Swim?

Also, if you aren't doing any strength training yet, now may be a good time to start.

Good luck. Ankle injuries are tough.
