Update - I went to the knee doctor today and he gave me a shot of cortisone in the knee that has been bothering me. I will follow up with him in six weeks. He told me to continue doing the exercises and especially the stretches to try and stretch that knee out. He told me that it was very inflamed. So we will see, one day at a time.

I am going to Ohio on Friday for a week to spend time with my brother and his family. I am very excited to finally get away a bit. I love my parents but I need a break. I am hoping that they will survive the week without me! I think it is a good break for all of us because they actually appreciate me a bit more when I return. I am hoping my slacker brothers will step up to the plate.

When I return I am taking Leilani (my 10 year old niece and her mom) to the NC Mountains to help celebrate my 50th birthday with me. I am hoping that I will be okay to hike a bit and walk a lot in the mountains.

Great plans! Everyone deserves a break (especially from parents! and I mean it in the best possible way being one myself). Have loads of fun. Hope the knee lets you do special stuff for your birthday. 50 needs celebrating. That's when life begins. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
